Patrick Mahomes in OKC for WCWS, Nijkee Canady and Texas Tech praises

Patrick Mahomes shows love for Texas Tech Softball by visiting Oklahoma City this week.

The Quarterback from Kansas City Chiefs, together with wife Brittany Mahomes, were present for Game 2 of the Women’s College World Series Championship Finals between the Red Raiders and Texas in Devon Park.

“First of all, I love Texas Tech and everything that Texas Tech is about. To have Nija (Nijaree Canady) here, together with the other girls, it was nice to watch,” Mahomes told ESPN’s Holly Rowe during the broadcast. “I have always loved and watched softball. I am happy that I am back at the Olympic Games and glad I have them here in Oklahoma City.”

The triple super bowl champion also spoke extensively about Texas Tech Ace Nijaar Canady, who is a big reason why the Red Raiders could reach the WCWS for the first time in program history and in the year 1 of the Gresco Glasco era in Lubbock.

“It’s special. The way in which she can control the softball and the way in which she can establish in the percussion zone, I mean, it’s special,” said Mahomes Rowe on Canady’s arm talent in the circle. “And to be able to look first and foremost the entire season, you know why we are in the position in which we are in. It starts with her and her leadership.”

Canady entered Game 2 of the WCWS with a general record of 33-6 and the best ERA in a country in the season. The Stanford Transfer signed a zero of $ 1,050,024 million dollars with the Red Raiders in the low season, a process where Mahomes was supposed to have played a role.

In August, Mahomes Canady and five other Texas Tech Student athletes signed with his Adidas “Team Mahomes” NIL team, a zero partnership with which all six student athletes can participate in brand marketing campaigns, including Mahomes’ characteristic shoe and clothing line from Mahomes with Adidas.

Mahomes ended with 11,252 career-passing yards and 93 career touchdowns in his three seasons at Texas Tech of 2014-2016. He would be taken with the number 10 in the NFL design of 2017 by the Chiefs. In anticipation of game 1 of the WCWS, Mahomes Varsity -Letterjacks and Adidas shoes sent to each member of the Red Raiders team.

Texas Tech wants to expand the best-of-three WCWS Championship series against Texas another day by forcing the “If necessary” Game 3 on 6 June with a victory on Thursday.
